Pray God will answer you

Important: God will Answer You when You Pray

Sharing is caring!

It is important to know and always remember that God will answer you when you pray. God will answer you because he has promised to answer.

See His promises to answer you in the verses below,

Jereimah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Psalms 91: 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in  trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

Jeremiah29: 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

In the bible we have examples of many people who prayed and God answered them. Three examples listed below.

1). Hannah prayed for a son and God answered her. Read her story here 1 Samuel 9-28 KJV.

2). Elijah the Prophet. Elijah prayed for a boy who was dead and he came back to life. Read the story here 1 Kings 17: 17-14.

3). The church prayed for Peter when he was kept in Prison. God answered and sent an angle to free Peter. Read the story here Acts 12: 5-24.

In our lives, we have seen God answer us many times. One instance: We trusted God for my husband to retire. We talked and prayed about it, in the years 2019 and 2020. In December 2020 we prayed that God would help him retire before Passover of 2021. God did it. We are witnesses of God answering prayers.

Whatever need you have, pray about it because God will answer at the right time. God wants you to pray about everything, so, pray. Pray about school, food, water, clothes, family, trip … pray about anything because God answerers.

The other day my husband and I prayed for guidance in installing Microsoft edge. I tried to install it for two days without being successful. After prayer, it took less than thirty minutes. God answers prayers. Pray for everything.

When you pray remember that you should.

1. Pray according to the will of God.

1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

To receive what you pray for, ensure you are praying for what is in line with God’s word.  This is because God exalts his word above anything else, and he will never go against it. For instance, if you pray for divorce, do not expect God to say yes, because he hates divorce.

2. Pray in faith.

Hebrews 11: 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

When you pray in faith, you pray with an assurance/fully convinced, that God will give you your request. Whatever you ask when praying, believe you will receive and you will have them, Mark 11: 24.

3. Ask with the right motive.

James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

The right motive when asking, is to ask so that you will glorify God. But when you ask to boast and boost your ego you will not get.

4. Delight yourself in the Lord

Psalms 37:4-5 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Delight – Take pleasure/rejoice in God/get satisfaction from God. Taking pleasure in God will be accompanied by living according to his word.

When you delight in the Lord, you will pray according to his will, and he will grant your request.

Below are more bible verses about prayer

Matthew 6: 5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
